Today marks the introduction of a new data and analytics platform that is poised to transform the Canadian tourism sector and drive economic development. The Canadian Tourism Data Collective is an unprecedented, secure, centralized platform created to leverage data in order to enhance Canada’s global competitiveness.

The platform was officially introduced during the Hotel Association of Canada’s Annual Conference in Montreal. It is a collaborative effort between Destination Canada, Statistics Canada, and the Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development. This initiative is a crucial component of Destination Canada’s 2030 Strategy, titled ‘A World of Opportunity’. The recently launched strategy sets ambitious goals for Canada’s tourism industry, aiming to enhance its global competitiveness and generate an impressive annual revenue of up to $160 billion.
