Dubai Hosts 80th IATA Annual General Meeting

The 80th IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit (June 2-4 2024) will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking the first time the event is being held in the UAE. Emirates Airline will serve as the host for this prestigious gathering, which is expected to attract over 1,500 participants including industry leaders, government officials, and media representatives. H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, the Minister of Economy for the United Arab Emirates, will deliver the opening keynote speech at the AGM, extending a warm welcome to all delegates in Dubai.

Willie Walsh, the Director General of IATA, stated that Dubai’s exceptional connectivity positions it at the intersection of the globe. Furthermore, with the upcoming 80th IATA Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit being hosted in Dubai, it is set to become the hub of leadership in the airline industry.

The World Air Transport Summit (WATS) takes place right after the AGM and offers a comprehensive program that tackles the crucial challenges confronting the aviation industry.
