Eurowings, a Lufthansa Group subsidiary, launched a new route connecting Hannover and Milan Bergamo Airport on 6 May. This will improve the travel options between Italy and a major business and trade fair hub in Germany, serving both leisure and business passengers. Initially, flights will run twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, but this will increase to four times a week starting from 4 September, with extra flights on Wednesdays and Sundays. The airline will deploy its Airbus A320 aircraft for this route.
The inclusion of Hannover enhances Eurowings’ current services connecting Dusseldorf and Milan Bergamo, thereby broadening the airport’s reach and providing passengers with increased travel choices.
Hannover is well-known for its role in hosting significant global trade fairs, and this fresh connection will establish vital connections for professionals and exhibitors journeying to events from Northern Italy. Additionally, this new service will unlock additional prospects for tourism, cultural interchange, and economic cooperation between Italy and Germany. It will facilitate convenient access to the abundant cultural legacy and picturesque landscapes of Lombardy and the neighboring areas, ensuring a rise in the number of tourists visiting.
Milan Bergamo Airport enhanced its connectivity to Germany, offering flights to a total of eight destinations. With a remarkable frequency of 46 weekly flights, passengers can now conveniently travel to Hannover, Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Karlsruhe Baden/Baden, Frankfurt Hahn, and Weeze. This extensive network exemplifies Milan Bergamo’s dedication to providing a wide range of travel options for its valued customers.
