Donovan Sumner is once again part of Hotel Co 51 as the Regional Director of Operations for the UK. In this role, he will be responsible for managing the operator’s regional collection of 17 Marriott International-branded hotels, which includes 15 Moxy hotels.
Donovan, a seasoned hospitality expert with two decades of industry experience, has successfully overseen various Moxy properties in the UK, Italy, and Norway. Notably, he played a pivotal role in launching Moxy Aberdeen Airport under the Hotel Co 51 umbrella in 2016 as the General Manager. After a successful tenure as the Vice President of Operations at Cycas Hospitality, Donovan now rejoins Hotel Co 51, stepping into the shoes of Wayne Androliakos who assumed the role of CEO in June 2024.
Donovan returns to his position with an expanded portfolio and a fresh strategy as a cluster general manager, where five General Managers in England and Scotland now report to him. The effective implementation of the cluster approach by the group has led Hotel Co 51 to adopt the same efficient reporting system for its 13 properties in Germany, overseen by Morana Rabatic Andric, the Regional Director of Operations for the country.
