Hotel d’Inghilterra Roma – Starhotels Collezione has been a beloved residence for global guests and Roman aristocracy since the 1800s, thanks to its superb positioning near the famous Spanish Steps and the luxurious Via Condotti, as well as its timeless sophistication. The establishment is set to welcome guests once again on September 27th, following a thorough renovation that highlights its historic allure and honors its storied past.

The Hotel d’Inghilterra can be traced back to the mid-16th century when it served as the noble residence for guests of Palazzo Torlonia, situated just across the street. A significant conservative renovation project was initiated in 2023, inspired by the Grand Tour era when sophisticated travelers favored esteemed establishments like Hotel d’Inghilterra. This restoration endeavor included the refurbishment of the exteriors and the preservation of the historic façade under the protection of Soprintendenza – the authority responsible for safeguarding Historical and Artistic assets. Additionally, all guestrooms and suites on the upper floors were upgraded as part of this comprehensive restyling initiative.

Following an extensive renovation of the common areas and guestrooms on the first three floors, the room and suite count has been decreased from 84 to 80 in order to allow for more expansive and luxurious interiors. This recent development is deeply connected to the hotel’s rich history and importance.
