National Airlines Orders Four New Boeing 777 Freighters

Boeing and National Airlines have revealed that the global carrier has agreed to purchase its initial batch of four 777 Freighters. As the freighter with the longest range and unmatched payload capacity, the 777 Freighter is set to enhance the airline’s cargo service and increase its market presence worldwide.

National Airlines‘ initial direct acquisition of Boeing aircraft will be published on Boeing’s Orders & Deliveries website once it is completed. The 777 Freighter has the ability to fly a greater distance (9,200 km / 4,970 nmi) and transport a larger amount of cargo (107 tons) compared to any other twin-engine cargo aircraft currently available. This capability allows operators to transport more freight on additional nonstop routes while achieving improved operating economics.

The 777 Freighters are set to be added to National Airline’s growing fleet of nine 747-400 freighters. Specifically engineered to harmonize with current 747 operations, the 777 Freighter enables airlines to efficiently move cargo between the two aircraft, simplifying ground logistics and maximizing cost savings by utilizing a standardized fleet.
