The WestJet Group has recently revealed its plans to procure a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft from AerDragon, an aviation leasing company. This new addition is anticipated to become a part of the WestJet Group’s fleet and operations by 2024. The aircraft obtained from AerDragon will contribute to the expanding collection of new aircraft that will be joining the Group’s fleet this year.

WestJet passengers will enjoy the increased capacity throughout the airline’s network, although the interior cabin experience of the aircraft will not be immediately representative of the WestJet Group. The airline will focus on updating and enhancing the interior cabins of the aircraft as a priority within its current fleet reconfiguration strategies, aiming to provide a uniform experience for passengers across all operations promptly.
