The recent Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) showcased the organization’s impressive growth, with a remarkable 30% increase in membership. This substantial rise is a clear indication of ABPCO’s dynamic approach and the valuable benefits it offers to its members.

Moreover, the AGM also marked the appointment of two new co-chairs, Sammy Connell from NASUWT – The Teachers’ Union and Pauline Beattie from Conference Care, who bring with them a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives.

The appointments of Sammy and Pauline come after the successful tenure of Emma Duffy from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, and Sarah Byrne from Mosaic Events. These outgoing chairs have played a crucial role in ABPCO’s recent achievements through their dedication and leadership.

Sammy and Pauline express their gratitude to Emma Duffy and Sarah Byrne on behalf of all the membership, acknowledging their significant contributions in steering the association towards growth and increased influence within the industry. They recognize the solid foundation that has been set by their leadership and are eager to fulfill their responsibilities over the next two years, working towards ABPCO’s 2027 goals.
