Amit Sripathi has been named as the Chief Development Officer at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, with a direct reporting line to the President and Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Ballotti. In his new role, Sripathi will be responsible for overseeing Wyndham’s North American franchise sales team, who will assist hotel owners in leveraging the immense potential of the world’s largest hotel franchise company and its renowned brands.

Chip Ohlsson, the Chief Development Officer, will be departing from the Company in June after a successful career that began at Hospitality Franchise Systems, the predecessor company of Wyndham. Throughout his time with the company, Chip played a crucial role in expanding the Wyndham portfolio from 14 to 25 brands. One notable achievement was the introduction of ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham, which quickly became the industry’s fastest-growing brand in terms of new-construction launches. Chip also championed diversity within the franchise sales team and advocated for owners. He spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives such as Women Own the Room, the first of its kind in the industry, and BOLD by Wyndham. These programs not only fostered greater diversity within our industry but also attracted new owners to join the Wyndham family.
