The Georgian announced the appointment of seasoned hospitality professional Phillip Pavel as Managing Director of the renowned hotel. This new position comes in the wake of the restoration and reopening of the 84-key property in April 2023, undertaken by BLVD Hospitality.
Phillip brings to the iconic Ocean Avenue The Georgian more than 25 years of expertise in luxury hospitality and management, having held executive positions at some of the most prestigious establishments in Los Angeles. His notable 20-year tenure as Managing Director at Chateau Marmont earned him the reputation of being ‘one of the most famous gatekeepers in Hollywood,’ highlighting his significant role in cementing the hotel’s legendary reputation.
Following his extensive experience at Chateau Marmont, Phillip took on the role of Managing Director at The NoMad Hotel’s Los Angeles location for three years, before transitioning to the position of West Coast Head of Membership and Communications at Soho House. Furthermore, Phillip has held Managing Director roles at InHouse and various exclusive luxury estates across California, Colorado, and Mexico.
