Air Premia, led by CEOs Yoo Myung-sub and Moon Bo-kook, has commenced operations on a route connecting San Francisco and Incheon four times weekly. This expansion enhances the link between the Americas and Korea. The new service represents Air Premia’s third direct route between the continental United States and Korea, following the successful launches in Los Angeles and New York.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s aviation information portal, Air Premia transported more than 671,500 passengers last year. Among them, over 229,300 passengers traveled on the Los Angeles and New York routes. This accounts for 11.6% of the total passengers carried by national carriers, providing travelers with new options for exploring the Americas. Air Premia has now expanded its Los Angeles flights to operate daily and has introduced occasional flights to Honolulu, thereby extending its American network. This increase in flight frequency is anticipated to greatly improve cargo operations, particularly with the utilization of belly cargo. Given that nearly 60% of last year’s cargo revenue was generated from operations in the Americas, the newly established San Francisco route is expected to further bolster these financial results.
