InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa announced the introduction of the “Parau ‘ōhie” app, aimed at providing guests and employees with an interactive immersion into Polynesian culture, with a special focus on the Tahitian language, a precious aspect of their heritage.
This innovative application includes a gaming section and an online lexicon to assist users in understanding and pronouncing new Tahitian words and phrases. Apart from its language learning features, “Parau ‘ōhie” also serves as a gateway to the diverse Polynesian culture. Users can explore practical details about cultural activities hosted by the InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa, as well as information on the hotel’s ornithological and botanical paths, where guests can uncover the richness of the local flora and fauna.
InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa guests have the option to download the application in advance of their arrival, enabling them to commence their Polynesian journey even before setting foot in Tahiti. Furthermore, the resort intends to utilize this tool as a means of enhancing the expertise of their staff in both the Tahitian language and the cultural and environmental legacy of the hotel. The application “Parau ‘ōhie” can now be accessed for download from either the App Store or Google Play.
