Ten taxi-boats, each capable of accommodating six passengers, are utilized in this innovative and eco-friendly transportation service for tourists. The service connects two prominent attractions in Paris – the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower.

Taxi Seine Paris offers an additional benefit to visitors attending the Olympics by connecting two key venues for the Games: the Concorde Urban Park and the Eiffel Tower Stadium. Moreover, it presents an opportunity to explore SPOT24, an exhibition showcasing Olympic, sports, and urban culture, conveniently located near the La Bourdonnais shuttle stop.

The initiative for this project was born during the 2021 Sustainable Tourism Conference, aiming to enhance mobility on the Seine through the introduction of taxi-boats in Paris and its neighboring areas. In addition to this, the transportation on the river, which currently utilizes only a quarter of the energy required for land travel, is being targeted for the implementation of new propulsion systems as part of a collaborative and voluntary effort spearheaded by Paris Port Community (CPP) and HAROPA PORT. Out of the 150 commercial vessels operating on the Seine, 40 will have already undergone eco-friendly modifications by the time of the Olympics, with the process set to continue beyond that point.
