Milan Bergamo Airport recently inaugurated the extended northern apron along with a new taxiway, strategically planned to accommodate the airport’s expansion and improve operational effectiveness. The additional apron area now features three fresh aircraft stands, contributing to a grand total of 48 independent stands at the airport – 17 situated on the northern apron and 31 on the southern side. This advancement not only boosts the airport’s operational capabilities but also offers substantial advantages to airline partners by cutting down on runway occupancy durations.

Milan Bergamo Airport has recently inaugurated Taxiway B, a new northern taxiway, in order to enhance the airport’s capacity. This initiative aligns with the continuous efforts to accommodate the growing traffic and optimize the utilization of the airport’s northern section, primarily catering to cargo, logistics, and maintenance operations.

Furthermore, these advancements coincide with the recent announcement of expansion plans for the passenger terminal. The expansion project encompasses a new check-in hall, a revamped security control area equipped with state-of-the-art X-ray systems for hold baggage, and an expanded non-Schengen departures area. Additionally, two new boarding gates will be added as part of this development.
