After careful consideration of the current circumstances in the Red Sea and its vicinity, as well as thorough discussions with international security specialists and government officials, Princess Cruises has decided to make changes to the schedules of its two 2025 World Cruises.
Princess Cruises has updated the routes for its two 2025 World Cruises, eliminating stops in the Middle East and Asia while introducing new destinations in Africa and Europe.
Island Princess World Cruise offers an unforgettable journey that spans over 116 days, departing from North America. With two roundtrip options, guests can choose to embark from either Ft. Lauderdale on January 5, 2025, or Los Angeles on January 20, 2025, with the cruise concluding in Los Angeles on May 17, 2025.
Covering a distance of over 36,700 nautical miles, this dream-like voyage will take travelers to 46 destinations across 24 countries and six continents. Along the way, guests will have the opportunity to explore historic sites such as Bar, Montenegro, and Taranto, Italy.
Additionally, the itinerary includes inaugural World Cruise calls to the picturesque Greek Island of Patmos and the enchanting Monasteries of Meteora in Volos.
Please note that the revised World Cruise itinerary, which takes place from February 16 to April 9, will depart from Sydney and include stops in Melbourne and Perth before continuing on to South Africa. The cruise will then resume its scheduled itinerary, commencing in Valletta, Malta on April 9.
Guests who were initially set to depart or board the cruise in Dubai on March 14, 2025, are now required to embark or disembark in Cape Town, South Africa, on March 9. Passengers disembarking in Cape Town will receive a refund equivalent to four days of the cruise fare, while those boarding earlier will not face any additional charges. Additionally, all these guests will be given a $300 onboard credit as a goodwill gesture.
Crown Princess Global Voyage
Setting sail from the Southern Hemisphere, the Crown Princess – the biggest ship to ever embark on a Global Voyage – is set to leave Auckland on May 31, 2025, and Sydney on June 4, 2025. This 113-day journey will cover 42 destinations in 22 countries across five continents. The route will skip the Red Sea and its neighboring areas, including the Suez Canal passage, opting instead to travel through Africa and Asia. The updated itinerary is in the final stages of preparation and will be shared soon.
