SF Airlines Launches New China to Hungary Route

SF Airlines, a Chinese cargo carrier owned by SF Express Co. headquartered in the No.1 Freight Depot of the International Shipping Center of Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport in Bao’an District, Shenzhen, Guangdong province, announced on Monday the launch of a new international air cargo route connecting Ezhou Huahu Airport in Hubei Province, China, with the capital city of Hungary, Budapest. This route, known as the Ezhou-Budapest cargo route, is the first of its kind linking Hungary to China’s cargo-focused airport, Ezhou Huahu. SF Airlines also stated that this is their third route from Ezhou Huahu Airport to Europe. The cargo route will be operated by a Boeing 747-400 freighter, with one round-trip flight scheduled per week. This will provide a weekly air-cargo delivery capacity of over 200 tons.

Ezhou Huahu Airport, established in July 2022, is a key cargo hub with a significant volume of cargo traffic and limited passenger services. In April 2023, SF Airlines launched its inaugural international cargo route from this airport.

The primary purpose of this new flight is to cater to parcel express services, e-commerce shipments, and other related cargo. This initiative will enhance the air logistics network between the two nations and promote economic interactions between China and Europe.
