Freebird Airlines is a Turkish charter airline based in Florya, Bakirköy, Istanbul. Its main base is Antalya Airport. The airline is owned by Malta and Turkey.

Baltic Ground Services (BGS) has announced the extension of its contract with Charter Airlines Freebird Airlines.

BGS will continue to supply aviation fuel to Freebird at Tallinn (Estonia), Kaunas (Lithuania), and Ostrava (Czech Republic) airports. The companies have extended their partnership for another year, and the new agreement entered into force on 1 April 2024.

BGS and Freebird commenced their partnership in 2017 when BGS started providing the airline with into-plane fuelling services at Kaunas Airport. Last year, the companies also signed a 3-year agreement for ground handling services at Vilnius Airport in Lithuania.

BGS is part of the Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider. The group operates a fleet of 212 aircraft. Its companies also provide various other aviation services, such as aircraft repair, pilot and crew training, and ground handling.

Earlier this year, BGS renewed contracts for fuel supply with Wizz Air, Ryanair, and SkyUp Airlines.
