In May 2024, Grupo Aeromexico S.A.B. de C.V. announced that it had carried 2,182,000 passengers, marking a 9.6% rise compared to the previous year. The number of international passengers surged by 21.2%, whereas domestic passengers saw a 5.3% increase.
Aeromexico experienced a 12.2% year-on-year increase in total capacity, as measured by available seat kilometers (ASKs). International ASKs saw a growth of 16.6%, while domestic capacity increased by 4.5% year-on-year.
Passenger demand, measured in revenue passenger kilometers (RPKs), rose by 16.1% year-on-year. International demand surged by 21.8%, whereas domestic demand increased by 6.2%, both compared to May 2023.
In May 2024, Aeromexico experienced a notable increase in its load factor, reaching 86.9%. This represents a growth of 3.0 percentage points compared to May 2023. The international load factor witnessed a more significant rise of 3.8 percentage points, while the domestic load factor saw a modest increase of 1.3 percentage points.
