In October, 2026, VisitMalta will partner with Fotorivals.com to launch an exclusive and exciting photography scavenger hunt: Malta & Gozo Quest: Capture the Islands. Malta, an archipelago in the Mediterranean has two sister islands, Gozo and Comino. The top three winners will receive cash awards.
During this 5-day photography adventure, participants will be given an itinerary to help guide their way through the historic streets of Valletta and the walled city of Mdina, and along the vast and blue coastlines of Gozo.

Photographers, over the age of 18, of all skill levels are welcome to join the Maltese residents who are also partaking in the hunt.
No entry fee is required and participants only need to sign up to receive their free kit to compete for a prize pool of €10,000 EUR (approx. $11,431.90 USD) that will be divided fairly between the three winners.
The Fall Season is an ideal time for visitors participating in the “Capture of the Islands” to extend their stay to explore the Maltese islands, there are no crowds, and the climate is still warm but mild.
Throughout this trip, visitors can easily traverse the islands by walking, cycling, or accessing the several sightseeing buses that are offering day passes for a thorough guided path to take in the rich and diverse culture.
