Air Astana commenced its first flight from Almaty to Astana on May 15, 2002, and has since made remarkable progress over the past 22 years. Throughout this period, Air Astana has established a strong reputation for its exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, stringent safety measures, and consistent profitability, all achieved without any reliance on shareholders or government funding.

Currently, the Air Astana Group, which includes both Air Astana as a full-service carrier and FlyArystan as a low-cost carrier, stands as the largest airline group in Central Asia and the Caucasus in terms of fleet size and revenue.

The remarkable accomplishments spanning more than two decades culminated in the Air Astana Group’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) in February 2024. The group successfully listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, Astana International Exchange, and London Stock Exchange, marking a significant milestone for the company. This achievement followed the group’s continued financial success in 2023, where it recorded a net profit of US$68.7 million from a turnover of US$1.175 million. Additionally, the group contributed over US$100 million in taxes and invested nearly US$7 million in staff development during the same year.
