These aircraft will undergo modifications to align with the standards of ANA Group‘s current DHC-8-400 fleet, guaranteeing compliance with safety regulations and ANA’s maintenance protocols.
De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited will handle the procurement and refurbishment of these aircraft, ensuring they are certified in accordance with the original manufacturer specifications before being delivered to ANA with a warranty.
Hidekazu Yoshida, ANA’s executive vice president of procurement, stated that the expansion of the DHC-8-400 fleet demonstrates their dedication to reliable and cost-effective aircraft, which will improve their current fleet. He also mentioned that De Havilland Canada’s extensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul support will assist in upholding their safety and service standards, as well as ensuring long-term reliability.
The DHC-8-400 aircraft, known for its fuel efficiency, has been in service with the ANA Group since November 1, 2003. In order to update its fleet and enhance customer satisfaction, the ANA Group plans to progressively incorporate new aircraft beginning in 2025 to establish a sustainable operational framework.
