JFK Millennium Partners (JMP) has reached an agreement with Cathay Pacific regarding John F. Kennedy International Airport’s new state-of-the-art Terminal 6. Under this agreement, Cathay Pacific will operate from Terminal 6 once the first five gates become accessible to passengers in early 2026.

Cathay Pacific will establish a spacious lounge spanning nearly 10,000 square feet at Terminal 6. This lounge will be the airline’s first dedicated facility in the New York market and its second in the United States, alongside San Francisco International Airport. Passengers flying with Cathay Pacific can also anticipate a digital-first experience at Terminal 6, with an average walk time of less than 5 minutes from the TSA security checkpoint exit to the gates.

Terminal 6 is a crucial element of the $19 billion overhaul of JFK Airport by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which aims to elevate the airport into a premier global gateway. This transformation includes the construction of two new terminals, the expansion and modernization of two existing terminals, the establishment of a new ground transportation center, and the implementation of a simplified roadway network.
