The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) has announced that starting on Sunday, April 28, TSA PreCheck operations at Kahului Airport will be relocated to Checkpoint 1, situated adjacent to the ticketing lobby.
In the event of a high volume of travelers, Checkpoint 2, currently designated for TSA PreCheck screenings, will be utilized as a general checkpoint. This adjustment is being made to better accommodate the growing number of TSA PreCheck participants.
Starting from Tuesday, April 30, Kahului Airport will introduce CLEAR, a travel services provider, which will offer its optional identification verification services. This new addition will enable subscribed CLEAR members to utilize a dedicated line for identity verification using biometrics like eye scans or fingerprints, eliminating the need for a government-issued photo ID.
