Cathay members traveling to Thailand from abroad can now effortlessly and instantly exchange ONESIAM Coins and Asia Miles, enhancing their rewards both on land and in the sky. Additionally, members from specific countries can conveniently convert their points even if they are outside of Thailand. This partnership between Cathay and Siam Piwat Group, initially introduced in August 2023, was previously exclusive to members within Thailand.
Recognizing the high demand for Thailand in Southeast Asia, Cathay is working closely with local payment partners to simplify the process for Cathay members to accumulate Asia Miles through their daily activities. Further information regarding this collaboration will be disclosed in the near future.
Moreover, Cathay has established partnerships with a variety of shopping partners globally, in addition to its collaboration with Siam Piwat Group. This enables members to utilize Asia Miles for both local and international transactions, including shopping, traveling, and converting points. Some of these partnerships include Mitsui Outlet Park in Taiwan, China, and Japan, Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Taichung in Taiwan, China, Shinsegae Duty Free in South Korea, and The Bicester Collection in Europe and the Chinese Mainland.
