Finnair has unveiled its latest Schengen Lounge at Helsinki Airport, aimed at providing customers with exceptional comfort and convenience. Launching on 9 July 2024, this new lounge has been meticulously designed with input from customers, drawing inspiration from Finnair‘s signature Nordic design aesthetic and soothing color palette.
The Schengen lounge’s design, overseen by Studio Joanna Laajisto, embodies the essence of the Nordics through the use of wooden textures, gentle shapes, and cozy hues. Incorporating local craftsmanship, the furniture is sourced from well-known Nordic designers like Artek, Nikari, and Gubi. Accommodating up to 440 guests, this newly revamped lounge promises to provide customers with a sense of readiness for their journey, all while offering stunning views of Helsinki Airport.
Business Class Classic and Flex ticket holders, along with Finnair Plus Gold members, are eligible for free access to the new lounge. Additionally, Finnair Plus Platinum and Platinum Lumo members have the privilege of accessing the exclusive Platinum Corner. Lounge access is also available for purchase to all customers. Situated in the Schengen area of Helsinki Airport, passengers flying with Finnair on most European flights will have access to the new lounge. This includes those connecting in Helsinki from the US and continuing their journey to Finnish Lapland, as well as the broader Nordic and Baltic region.
