Helsinki Airport in Finland opened the world’s first ever runway sauna for a day this month.
There are over 3.2 million saunas in Finland which equates to one sauna for every 3 people in the country.
At Helsinki Airport, travelers will find 3 of those 3.2 million saunas right at the terminals. From the airport, it is a sauna journey to explore the wide variety available across the metropolitan area. But the airport sauna was a first of its kind.
