United Airlines and the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA have reached an agreement in their negotiations.
This agreement will provide higher wages and other improvements for the 28,000 United Airlines union flight attendants. that will provide industry-leading wages and many other improvements for United’s 28,000 flight attendants if ratified.
Final contract language will be concluded in the coming days and will then be subject to approval by the AFA’s Master Executive Council, including all Local Presidents. If they approve, the tentative agreement will be put out for ratification by the flight attendants.
If ratification is successful, in addition to changes already described, flight attendants will receive a signing bonus as well as other scheduling and quality of life improvements. The new contract will remain in effect for the next 5 years when it will be once again be open to amendment.
