Starting this winter, WestJet passengers will have the opportunity to travel to a wide range of exclusive international locations through London’s Heathrow Airport, thanks to the enhancement of WestJet’s codeshare partnership with Virgin Atlantic. This expansion will allow WestJet to offer travel packages that include flights operated by Virgin Atlantic from London Heathrow (LHR) to various destinations within Virgin Atlantic’s global network for the winter of 2024/2024. Additionally, by the summer of 2025, WestJet will facilitate connections to Virgin Atlantic’s recently unveiled route connecting Toronto-Pearson and London Heathrow.
Earlier today in Las Vegas, Virgin Atlantic and WestJet, in the presence of Sir Richard Branson, revealed the extension of their partnership. The deal was officially sealed during the IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Dubai last week. John Weatherill, the Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer of WestJet, and Juha Jarvinen, the Chief Commercial Officer of Virgin Atlantic, came together to enhance the existing codeshare agreement that has been in place since 2019.
