Dusit Hotels and Resorts, the hotel division of Dusit International, announced that it has recently entered into an agreement with Pearl Atoll Pvt Ltd to oversee the management of dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives, a luxurious resort consisting of 125 rooms located on a private island near the main island of Malé. New resort, which is currently being constructed and is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2024, will operate under Dusit’s high-end dusitD2 brand and will be the company’s inaugural ‘all-inclusive’ property. Alongside its spacious overwater villas and family suites ranging from 77 to 319 square meters, this resort will offer a variety of amenities. Guests will have the opportunity to unwind on three main private beaches, as well as a smaller ‘picnic beach’.
The resort’s close proximity to Malé International Airport, just a five-minute speedboat ride away, will be utilized by the developers to establish a resort-based entertainment hub and small convention center. These upcoming additions, managed by Dusit, will cater to guests seeking experiences beyond the traditional resort offerings. A strong emphasis will be placed on ensuring that all resort components seamlessly integrate with the natural surroundings. Dusit’s Tree of Life sustainability program will play a key role in this effort, implementing eco-friendly processes and systems to minimize environmental impact. dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives will mark Dusit’s second resort in the Maldives, complementing the company’s existing Dusit Thani Maldives property on Mudhdhoo Island in Baa Atoll, recognized as the Maldives’ first UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.
Dusit Hotels and Resorts manages around 300 properties under eight different brands in 18 countries globally, encompassing hotels, resorts, and luxury villas in its portfolio.
