Delta Air Lines and Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s full-service global carrier, have entered into a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding with the aim of offering a wide array of advantages for travelers journeying between North America, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and other destinations.
The contract was signed during a ceremony held at Delta’s World Headquarters in Atlanta. This agreement lays the groundwork for a strategic alliance that will empower both airlines to enhance connectivity, broaden their networks, and foster future expansion.
The partnership outlined in the agreement is designed for the long run, pending regulatory clearance. It involves interline and codeshare connectivity, along with a more extensive collaboration covering loyalty programs, customer experience, digital innovation, and a wide range of aviation services like maintenance, repair, overhaul, ground handling, and training. Moving forward, the airlines plan to investigate the possibility of establishing an immunized joint venture to enhance their partnership and facilitate cooperation in network expansion and development within the region. Both carriers are dedicated to implementing top sustainability practices across their operations as they shape the future of travel.
