WestJet Launches Edmonton to Atlanta Flight

WestJet commemorated the commencement of connectivity between Atlanta and Edmonton today, as flight WS1902 departed at 00:45 MDT. The initiation of this exclusive service by WestJet signifies a significant achievement in expanding Edmonton’s direct transborder travel choices to a major international hub.

The United States is Alberta’s primary bilateral trade partner and the top inbound tourism market for the province. Thanks to the enduring collaboration between WestJet and Delta Air Lines, travelers connecting through Atlanta can now reach a wide array of U.S. destinations with a single ticket purchase. They can check in for all flights at the initial departure, have their baggage tagged to their final destination, and access select lounges.

Myron Keehn, President & CEO of Edmonton International Airport (YEG), expressed his enthusiasm for WestJet’s new non-stop service to Atlanta from Edmonton. He emphasized that this new service will contribute to the growth of business and tourism opportunities between the two regions. Keehn also highlighted WestJet’s role as a key partner in realizing their vision of expanding flight options from YEG to various destinations.
