WestJet has announced key details of its flight schedule for the winter of 2024/2025 in Edmonton, showcasing substantial expansion and dedication to the area with unprecedented domestic investments. With a capacity increase exceeding 20% from the previous winter, WestJet will offer Edmonton its most extensive network ever. During the upcoming winter season, Edmonton residents will enjoy direct flights to 16 Canadian cities, nine transborder destinations including Hawaii, and five flight options to Mexico.

Expanding on the progress made by WestJet’s current summer schedule, the airline is set to enhance the frequency of flights on important domestic routes that are vital for both business and leisure travelers connecting to Alberta’s capital city. The WestJet Group is actively working towards acquiring more aircraft from the used aircraft market to expedite the airline’s growth strategies.

WestJet plans to run around 313 flights per week from Edmonton International Airport this winter. Edmonton is highly connected within WestJet’s network, with 10 out of 16 domestic routes experiencing either new or increased flight frequency. As the leading carrier in the region, WestJet accounts for 50 percent of all air travel from Edmonton International Airport.
